About

Hello, I’m Weichen.

I’m a Melbourne-based designer, and over the years, I’ve tried pretty much everything to keep a portfolio site online—from self-hosting WordPress on cheap servers to using site builders like Squarespace and Wix. Self-hosting was definitely cheaper, but setting it up myself was a total headache and painful to use. Platform builders were easier, sure, but they rack up hundreds of dollars in subscription fees every year. For a simple site with low traffic that only gets updated a couple of times a year, the cost to keep it running adds up fast over time.

So, after digging deep into all the free tiers that major tech infrastructure companies offer, I decided to build my own solution: a website you build once and hosted on industry-standard free infrastructure - fast, secure, and 100% bill-free.

I’m not trying to build the next massive SaaS empire or get rich overnight. I’m just your friendly neighborhood designer. After helping friends get rid of their site fees and hearing how much they loved it, I wanted to help you scrub that annoying annual bill out of your life, too!
